| AA |
Approach anxiety (AA) is the overwhelming fear that arises when initiating a cold approach on a woman or a group of strangers (men & women). AA is an evolutionary survival mechanism that originates from the tribal era where approaching the wrong woman can result in casualty or even death. |
| AFC |
An average frustrated chump is a typical average male. AFC's may have had a few girlfriends or may have even "Gotten Lucky" with a few women throughout their lives but in general, they are clueless of what it takes to attract women. |
| AMOG |
Alpha Male of Group - An aggressive male who asserts himself as the leader of the group who is competing for the attention of the target. AMOG's will try to out play the PUA and try to break his game by challenging him or even escalate to physical violence or intimidation. Techniques can be applied to defuse an AMOG for instance, befriending the AMOG by complimenting him or giving him respect. They will usually reciprocate by allowing the PUA to conitinue gaming the target. |
| Cat String Theory |
Cat string theory is a phrase derived from Mystery. The idea behind cat string theory is that people tend to value thing more when they have to work hard for it. When a cat sees a dangling string, it will chase it but once the string is given to the cat, it quickly loses interest in it. The analogy is that women are the cats and men are the string. Even if the women are initially attracted to the man, the attraction can quickly fade if the man showers her with too much attention. The harder they work for it, the more they will appreciate it. Keep the string dangling and it will keep the attraction consistent. This can be achieved by switching between showing a woman interest and disinterest by using techniques like push/pull, BHRR, and 101. |

The ability and willingness to assess claims and make objective judgments on the basis of well-supported reasons and evidence, rather than emotion or anecdote. |
| IOI |
An IOI is an indicator of interest that women use on a conscious or subconscious level to convey attraction. Example, she scratches her hand or plays with her hair (subconscious IOI's). Some women exploit IOI's by throwing out fake IOI's in order to deceive a man into doing favors for her. |
| Natural |
People who are naturally good with women are referred to as “Naturals”. These guys have no knowledge of the community but are still successful with women. It is inaccurate to refer to these guys as AFC’s because they do succeed with women but just aren’t familiar with the idea of the game. There’s no such thing as a born natural, they all acquired the skill through their own learning process outside of the community using their instincts and trial & error experience. |

| PUA |
PUA is short for Pickup Artist. A pickup artist is a person who is committed to understanding the dynamics of the art of pickup and seduction. Their dedicated to improving their skills with the opposite sex by applying methods and theories found in the pickup community. Majority of PUA’s are men; the less common women PUA’s are referred to as FPUA’s, short for female pickup artist. |
